April is the month of new beginnings after winter’s long solstice. Spring is a time for reunions on common ground exploding with colors celebrating life. Dark thoughts of the past fade as our focus on the future shifts to messages of hope.
The phone call to be a guest on the show had come at the end of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. How Prophetic! “Boo! You Have Cancer.” While researching guests for the segment on intuition and dreams, the producers came across the websites of three dreamers and a publisher.
Kathleen O’Keefe-Kanavos’ video promoting Surviving Cancerland: Intuitive Aspects of Healing on how prophetic, spiritually-guided dreams diagnosed and helped cure cancer missed by the medical community and the tests on which they relied, grabbed their interest. A combination of female intuition, angelic prophetic nightmares, and surrender to a Higher-power saved her life three times.
They also came across the frightening story of psychic Lynn Darmon whom had a premonition of her baby daughter lying dead in her arms. Lynn went from one emergency room to another searching for a doctor who would believe her vision and give her child the tests needed to save her life.
Dream expert Kelly Sullivan Walden authored the book, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Dreams and Premonitions, which also caught the eye of the producers. Kathleen O’Keefe-Kanavos story, Surviving Cancerland, is one of the 101 amazing stories in the book. Kelly used the acronym DREAM during the taping to help the audience remember their dreams.
Amy Newmark, Director and Publisher of the Chicken Soup for the Soul book series, had accompanied Kelly to the taping. Lasting friendships were immediately formed, and the stage was set for a party.
What did they do to keep promoting the important message of intuition? They had a reunion to share success tips with other authors, professionals, entrepreneurs, dreamers, and angel communicators who may have hopes of someday promoting their message to the world on TV.
“The experiences we had, like accidentally shaving off an eyebrow (the make-up artists were amazing at replacing it), and tips we learned about being on National TV, may help them when their call comes.“
TIP 1: Always Wear Familiar, Attractive, & Stylish “Comfort-Clothing.”
This includes shoes. Your already-loved clothes will give you peace-of-mind to focus on your positive message, rather than on possible costume-malfunctions. Familiar clothing in front of a strange audience will wrap you in confidence that cannot be bought off a rack.
New clothes can wear you, rather than the other way around. Have you ever seen someone limp onstage in new shoes, then tug at their hemline as they sit, or check buttons to be sure they are closed? They are probably wearing a new outfit that is really wearing them. When speaking in public, say and wear what you know.
TIP 2: When Given a Choice, Take Both.
By combining female Intuition with medical technology, you have a healing modality greater than the sum of its individual parts. This message is the basis for Kelly and Kathleen’s books, which hit the Amazon Bestseller List again after the show. When given a choice, simply say, “Yes!” Try it. You might like it.
TIP 3: Trust Your Intuition.
Many of us agree we have intuition but do not use it, because we don’t trust it. Learn to trust your intuition by starting small and watching for validation. Believe but validate. Turn intuition into a friend you can feel. Use it for your job, relationships, and daily decision making. Working with your intuition might feel like using a computer for the first time.
You may say, “What if I get the wrong information, because I asked the wrong question or went to the wrong place?” If you worry too much, you can talk yourself out of even turning on the computer, just like your intuition. Just do it. Start by listening. How does your intuition appear to you?
Four guests, Kelly, Lynn, Amy, and Kat were brought together on a freezing cold winter’s day and placed beneath the glare of studio lights and a live audience. But the warmth of an attentive and sympathetic Dr. Oz melted their hearts. “I think I love Dr. Oz!” Kelly says during the show reunion.
Their stories bonded their friendship for life. These amazing life-saving true stories can be seen in Women’s Voices Magazine’s March column.
However, after the audience left and the lights were turned off, it was not the end of the show. Like a spring flower, it bloomed again on the Kat Kanavos Show, and now, you are part of our celebration, too.
